"In 1985 we arranged the first Munich Colloquium at the iwb chair of the Technical University Munich. The industry's response had been overwhelming. The iwb received so many inquiries that the institute could not deal with them by itself. So the idea assumed shape to make those things real that we had just imagined theoretically. We just wanted to make ideas successful. Retrospectively one could say: that has been the founding idea of our company. The ifp's success since 1986 indicates that we have focused on the right issues. You can only benefit from opportunities if you are willing to take certain risks. However, with the right composition of exceptional people, innovative methods and the largest possible motivation, these risks can be controlled well. This is our guideline since the ifp's foundation."
