At the top level, for example, indicators for customer satisfaction, process efficiency, finances and personnel development are displayed. If the top level is set up as an interactive dashboard, you can control more detailed key figures of an area or create new live aggregations by setting filters. In practice, we have intelligently solved complex BI cases: For example, SAP S4 Hana was introduced for the pilot phase in a plant of a track construction machine manufacturer. The BI solution from ifp consulting accompanied the ramp-up in the test plant and combined information from the database of SAP S4 Hana and the database of an ERP in-house development of the company. In this way, goals from a strategy can be quantified and pursued – digitization is not an end in itself. 

To overcome crises, key figures can make problems transparent and promote dialogue in meetings. In particular, between sales and production, there are often difficulties in coordinating capacity requirements and supply. With the quantification of the problem, it is possible to estimate in the short term whether, for example, temporary outsourcing makes sense or not. Standardized dashboards help to lead a fact-based discussion.
