About ifp consulting
ifp consulting was founded in 1986 by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Joachim Milberg as a spin-off of the iwb at the Technical University of Munich. With the goal of putting research ideas into practice, the company has evolved over the years into a well-established consulting firm specializing in production and logistics. To this day, ifp consulting remains 100% owned by its three shareholders—Anja Milberg, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Joachim Milberg, and Dr.-Ing. Gerhard Nowak.

Denise Pohlig
Managing Director
Denise Pohlig is the Managing Director at ifp consulting. She has been with ifp consulting since 2016 and has cross-industry experience in the design and implementation of complex projects in the fields of production and logistics. Her clients include companies in the mechanical and plant engineering, pharmaceutical and medical technology, electronics, and transportation and logistics sectors, among others.
Denise Pohlig studied industrial engineering at RWTH Aachen University, specializing in production engineering.

Dr.-Ing. Gerhard Nowak
Managing Partner
Dr. Gerhard Nowak is a Managing Partner at ifp consulting. He has over 25 years of experience in industry and consulting. After working at ifp consulting from 1996 to 2000 as a doctoral candidate and technical consultant, he held leadership positions at industrial companies as well as at leading management consulting firms in Europe and China. After working at firms including Management Engineers and Strategy&, Dr. Nowak most recently served as a partner at Bain & Company, where he was part of the Performance Improvement Practice and worked with clients in the automotive, mechanical engineering, and steel industries, among others. His international career includes long-term assignments in Italy and China, as well as project experience in EMEA, the Americas, and APAC.
Dr. Nowak is a proven expert in the fields of production and logistics, as well as product development and cost optimization. This is complemented by his many years of experience in the digital transformation of companies and restructuring.
Dr. Nowak studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich and earned his doctorate at the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management (iwb).

Katharina Anders
Business Unit Manager
Katharina Anders is a Business Unit Manager at ifp consulting. She advises her clients, drawing on her extensive expertise in factory planning and logistics. Her clients include companies in the mechanical and plant engineering, consumer goods, and electronics industries, among others.
Katharina Anders holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the TU Bergakademie Freiberg and a master’s degree in technology- and management-oriented business administration from the Technical University of Munich.

Dr.-Ing. Felix Frankenbach
Business Unit Manager
Dr. Felix Frankenbach is a Business Unit Manager at ifp consulting. He has extensive experience in projects related to production and logistics planning as well as operational excellence. He advises clients from various industries, with a focus on mechanical and plant engineering.
Dr. Felix Frankenbach earned his doctorate in the field of Production Management & Logistics at the Technical University of Munich (TU München) at the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management (iwb).

Julian Beuerlein
Business Unit Manager
Julian Beuerlein is a Division Manager at ifp consulting and has been with the company since 2021. His areas of expertise include factory and plant layout planning, production and logistics planning, as well as supply chain management, site relocation, and digitalization—including BIM. With his international project experience and hands-on approach, he takes on responsibility as a division head for key future-oriented topics facing manufacturing companies and helps expand our service portfolio.
Julian Beuerlein is an industrial engineer with a Master of Engineering degree from Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences.

Dr.-Ing. Richard Dobler
Business Unit Manager
Dr. Richard Dobler is a division manager at ifp consulting. He has extensive experience in the areas of digital factory planning and process optimization. He advises clients from various industries, such as pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, automotive, and electronics.
Dr. Richard Dobler earned his doctorate in the field of production management and logistics at the Technical University of Munich (TU München) at the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management (iwb).
