Network Optimization

Let us help you to unlock hidden optimization potential in the logistics network.

Analysis and optimization of the logistics network

Significantly reduce logistics costs

A good network is essential for success! What applies to individuals is also of great relevance for companies. On the one hand, customers‘ requirements are increasing daily; on the other hand, cost reduction is the maxim of the present day. To combine both criteria for the network, optimal alignment and a recurring review of the status quo are needed in order to be able to react quickly to changing needs.

We will support you in the optimization of your network

Reduction of transport costs through optimization
Increase in the service level
Reduction of storage and process costs
Optimization of the utilization of the individual locations
Reduction of the CO2 footprint (green logistics)
Location search and location consolidation

Pragmatic hands-on approach

A comprehensive simulation of your network uses innovative tools and optimization algorithms. This provides the starting point for identifying potentials and playing through certain scenarios. Our pragmatic, hands-on approach, which was developed for numerous industrial projects, supports smaller projects to ensure that hidden potentials are quickly realised.

ifp is your competent partner with many years of experience in the field of network optimization. In the first step, our recipe for success is to define the right flight level for you and record the requirements of all stakeholders on the network (suppliers, production and logistics locations, and customers). This then raises the question of the right tools and methods to penetrate the complexity of the global network and identify optimization potential.

Objective of network optimization

Finding the optimal balance between procurement, transport, storage and production costs.

Exploiting optimization potential and current requirements for the logistics network

Many companies face the challenge that the locations and all relationships between a company’s branches have grown over the years. Often, minor changes were made without optimizing the network as a whole. As a result, great potential is unrecognized, which has a lasting negative impact on the company’s results.

In the field of logistics, 24-hour delivery is becoming the standard because Amazon and similar companies have increased requirements for private customers. In the B2B business world, a high level of service with prompt order processing and delivery is also a prerequisite. If companies cannot meet these requirements, they face losing customers to the competition.

In the area of production, when looking at the network, factors such as wage costs, technological location competencies and resources, potential quantities, currency effects, etc., are of great importance. The production footprint optimization, as part of the network optimization, is described in more detail.

Netzwerkoptimierung Kundenbeispiel

Branche Bekleidung
